Founded in 1998, Oslo-Gardermoen Airport connects to 152 international, 26 domestic flights. The airport hosted more than 28 million passengers in the year 2018. Oslo Airport is the second-busiest airport in the Nordic states.
Oslo Airport
The complex was built for military purposes during the 1940s. After serving as a secondary base for four decades, the airport opened at Gardermoen. The complex is 50 kilometres southeast of central Oslo and is located at Gardermoen in the municipality of Ullensaker.
Transport from Oslo Airport to the City Center
There are several transportation options that you can take to reach the city center.
Train
The most preferred and low-cost transportation among the options is the local train. The local train is not only the cheapest option, but it is also quite comfortable and features Wi-Fi and in-seat power plugs. The cost takes about 25 minutes and the ticket costs 101 NOK.

Bus
The connection between the airport and the central Oslo is also served by SAS Shuttles which are located right outside the airport exit. The trip takes about 45 minutes and costs 169 NOK.
Taxi
The Norweigan capital is an expensive city compared to other provinces of the country. Although they offer a faster and a comfortable trip, transportation with taxis is not recommended. The trips cost between 600 - 800 NOK and take about 40 minutes.
