About the Airport
Formally known as Domodedovo Mikhail Lomonosov International Airport, the complex is 42 kilometres away from the southeast of Moscow. The airport is one of four airports in Russia. It is the second busiest airport after Sheremetyevo International Airport.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport
Opened in 1962, the airport is one of the largest airports in the country. It served more than 30 million passengers in 2017 and became the second busiest airport in the country. The complex is named after the town on which is located, Domodedovo. The airport consists of a hotel, lounges, duty-free shops and a terminal which is comprised of two separate concourses.
Transport from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to the City Center
There are several transportation options which you can take to reach central Moscow.
Train
The complex contains a railway station which connects the airport and the city center. The trips with Aeroexpress trains take 45 minutes and cost 1000 rubles.
Bus
Buses with code 308 will take you to the centre of Moscow. The trip costs 150 rubles and takes about 45 minutes. There are also other local buses 11, 26, 30 which will take you to the nearby towns.
Taxi
There are taxis available right outside the airport terminal which offer faster rides to the city.

Public Transport
Moscow transportation system is quite systematic and also efficient. The ideal way to get around in Moscow is Moscow Metro. Metro is not only available from 5.30 AM to 1 AM, but it also offers relatively cheaper and faster rides around the city and allows you to avoid the heavy traffic of Moscow.
The connection between the counties of Moscow is served by buses. Bus rides cost around 25 rubles and tickets can be bought from the drivers.
You can also take the taxi to visit the attraction points of Moscow. Bargaining on the price are always recommended, therefore the taxi prices are quite flexible.
