About the Airport
Ercan Airport is the prominent connection point for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
It is situated approximately 25 km away from Lefkosia city center.
Ercan Airport
Ercan Airport is named after the heroic Turkish pilot Fehmi Ercan who lost his life during the Peace Operation of 1974. It became operational for civilian purposes in 1975 and continues to provide service with its wide range of facilities designated for all needs.
Transport from Ercan Airport to the City Center
Cyprus Airport Service (KIBHAS) buses provide fast transport to Lefkosia city center as well as to nearby cities of Kyrenia, Famagusta and Lefke. The departure hours are listed online depending on your desired destination of arrival and with the option of booking your ticket in advance. The journey to Lefkosia from Ercan Airport takes about 30 minutes.

Public Transport
Transport in Northern Cyprus is not difficult considering the small size of the island. However, there are no municipal buses in the country. Weather
