Kuwait International Airport is situated about 15.5 km south of the city.
Kuwait International Airport
Kuwait International Airport was initially established in 1927. The current airport became operational in 1979 and has been through a series of renovation works which resulted in the inclusion of additional terminals as well as the increase of its total passenger capacity up to 25 million people per year. As of May 2018, the airport consists of five terminals.
Transport from Kuwait International Airport to the City Center
The public transport is not very well developed in Kuwait. However there are some buses providing transfer to the city center. Bus lines number 13, 99 and 501 operate from 4.30 am until 23.45 pm. There are also pre-arranged private transfers of the hostels. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or benefit from car rental services offered by Pegasus Airlines.
Public Trransport
Public transport network lacks a railway system and buses are usually the only public means of transport. The Kuwait Public Transport Company offers bus services covering an extensive area but unfortunately the traffic get a bit hectic in the city.
Taxis are also widely utilized to move around in the city. You can negotiate on a price beforehand. The local taxi app Careem is commonly used for moving around the city.

Kuwait City is famous for its chain hotels that provide its customers with all the comfort. There are a great variety of options ranging from en suite hotels to luxurious apartments. Please take note that persons who have an Israeli visa or stamp of entry on their passports are not allowed to enter Kuwait.

Weather
Kuwait City demonstrates the typical hot desert climate with soaring temperatures throughout summer. Starting from April until October the weather gets warm, reaching to far over 45 celsius degrees with frequent sandstorms in summer time. For this reason, most hotels do have the air conditioner in order to combat hot summer temperatures.

Places to see
Kuwait Towers, Liberation Tower, National Museum, Seif Palace and Grand Mosque are the prominent attraction points of the city. There are a number of modern luxury malls as well as traditional markets for those who would rather spend time doing shopping. Spending time indoors might be a good idea during the hot summer days.
