King Abdulaziz International Airport
Completed in 1981, the airport is the busiest and third largest airport in Saudi Arabia. There are three terminals at the airport. Of these, the Pilgrimage terminal is specially designed for pilgrims and can accommodate up to 80,000 passengers at the same time. One of the other terminals is used for domestic and the other for international lines. The airport is very modern and has facilities to meet the needs of passengers.

You can go to the city center from the airport by taxi, shuttle service or rental car.
You can find taxis as the most used public transport in Saudi Arabia every hour of the day. You can get to Jeddah city center from the airport by taxi in about 1 hour. Official taxis cost 10 rial opening fee and 10 rial per kilometer. There are pirate taxis as well as official taxis and you may need to negotiate before you go for the fare.
You can use the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, if any.

Public Transportation
There is no developed public transport network in Saudi Arabia. Transportation is usually provided by private taxis. There are buses used by local people in Jeddah but it is not recommended for tourists because it does not have a certain route and time.

About Visa
In order to go to Jeddah, you need a Saudi Arabia visa. Israeli passports or passports with entry or exit stamps in Israel are not subject to visa processing. Single women under the age of 35 are not granted visas unless invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or accompanied by blood relatives. It is recommended that visa procedures start at least 30 days in advance due to the intensity that may occur due to pilgrimage and umrah visits.
