The metro connects the airport Terminal 1 and Shahid Haghani Station, which corresponds to the red line on the metro. It is also possible to change the metro line to reach Shahr-e Aftab. In addition to the metro line, travellers can take the minivans to reach Shahid Haghani Station. The minivans do not have any specific schedule and will leave when they are full.
Public Transport
Tehran has a metro line that operates between 05:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., carrying passengers across the city. Also, the Mashhad Urban Railway in Mashhad covers a 24 km route. There are also metro lines in Isfahan, Tabriz, and Shiraz that link the inner parts of these cities.
In addition to these major metro lines, there are inner-city buses that connect different cities in Iran. The buses are divided into two: the regular buses that frequently stop to pick up and drop passengers and express buses that only stop at a few stations.
